Four more arrests were made on Thursday in an investigation into the operations of a methamphetamine lab in Mercer County.
The apprehensions bring to eleven the number of arrests made in the case, and investigators say two more warrants are yet to be served.
On Thursday, officials charged 38 year-old John Elder, from Cochranton, 36 year-old Jacob Devinney, from Sandy Lake, 56 year-old Ralph Custer, from Jackson Township, and 49 year-old Linwood Thorne, from Hadley, in connection with accusations that they provided ingredients for the manufacture of meth. All but Elder posted bond. Preliminary hearings were scheduled for March 27.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the workings of a meth lab raided last June in Perry Township. Investigators say they earlier charged the owner of the mobile home they raided, whom they identified as 35 year-old Donald Sturgin, Aaron Almon, a 35 year-old Orwell, Ohio resident whom police described as the “meth cook,” and five others.
