Police in Pittsburgh are investigating the shooting death over the weekend of a former Slippery Rock University football player.
25 year-old Zachary Sheridan, from the Pittsburgh suburb of Brookline, was shot and killed while trying to leave the scene of a fight at an Oakland hot dog shop around 3:30 AM Saturday. Sheridan was pronounced dead at a Pittsburgh hospital just moments after the shooting.
As of Monday morning, police had not announced the name or names of any suspects.
