A former employee of a store in Titusville has been charged after she was accused of stealing more than $8,000 worth of lottery tickets from the store.

58 year-old Virginia Kurschinske, from Titusville, was arraigned last week on charges of theft by unlawful taking and retail theft.  She is accused of continually playing tickets through an online terminal while she worked an eight-hour shift at the store last May.  Investigators say she did pay back about $3,000 the same day.

Bail for Kurschinske was set at $5,000, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for December 27.
