Former Crawford County Jail Warden Gets Probation For Inappropriate Messaging To Minor

A former warden of the Crawford County Jail was sentenced Friday in Venango County Court to five years probation in a case in which he was accused of sending inappropriate messages to a teenage boy and making sexual advances to the boy at the social club where he had served as administrator.

54 year-old Timmy Lewis, from Meadville,  entered a guilty plea in September to a charge of the corruption of minors.  Charges including promoting prostitution, open lewdness and indecent exposure were dismissed in a plea bargain agreement.

Lewis had been sentenced to jail plus four years of probation in October, 2016 in a case in which he was charged with the disappearance of more than $120,000 at the social club he directed in Cochranton.  His wife, Debra Lewis – the club’s social manager, was also sentenced to attend an ARD program in that case.
