More heavy downpours on Monday caused flooding in the Clintonville area in southern Venango County, and have left two Crawford County roads closed.
Nearly an inch-and-a-half of additional rain in Clintonville led to an overflow of a small dam, and caused flooding problems on Route 208.
In Crawford County, PennDOT reports that two roads were closed because of flooding. Those stretches include State Route 1014 (Johnstown Road) in Rockdale Township from Route 408 to Brown Hill Road, and State Route 1016 (Miller Station Road) from Route 6 in Cambridge Township to Miller Hill Road in Rockdale Township.
Revised weather forecasts for the Oil Region call for continued showers and thunderstorms for much of the remainder of the week, and the potential for heavy downpours is listed in each forecast from Tuesday night through Friday.
