Fifteen Rocky Grove High School Students Accused Of Vandalizing Their School

Fifteen Rocky Grove High School students face summary charges in the vandalism of their school on Memorial Day.

Sugarcreek Borough Police say the students entered the high school through a window and, as an apparent senior prank, vandalized the school’s interior with eggs, shaving cream, toilet paper, soap and other items.

A statement from Sugarcreek Police Chief Matt Carlson indicated that, following a meeting with the Venango County District Attorney, charges of burglary and institutional vandalism would not be pursued.  The suspects will instead be charged with lesser offenses which the statement said “will not follow the students throughout their adult lives.”
