Franklin’s biggest festival, Applefest, will be kicked off Thursday night with the annual Franklin High School Hall-of-Fame induction ceremony and dinner.

The event will be held at the former Franklin Club, The Commons, and will start with a social hour at 5:00 PM.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM.

The FHS Hall-of-Fame honors recognize those graduates whose actions or achievements have brought honor and distinction to Franklin High School’s heritage.

This year’s inductees will include newspaper editor and historian Carolee Michener, author Hildegarde Dolson, multi-sport standout Red Law, and teacher, coach and Westminster College record-setting quarterback Dave Bierbach.

Applefest officially runs from Friday through Sunday, and is organized each year by the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce.
