Erie Man Charged In Franklin Carjacking Is Hospitalized In Pittsburgh

An Erie man charged with stealing a car at knifepoint in Franklin is now hospitalized with stab wounds and other injuries in Pittsburgh.

It was not immediately clear how the wounds were sustained, but Franklin City Police say 34 year-old Donald Milliren is the same man they have charged with stealing a car from its owner at a local alloy company’s parking lot on Atlantic Avenue shortly after 4:30 AM on Sunday morning.

The carjacked vehicle was located Monday along Route 322 in the Cochranton area.

Milliren was charged in Franklin on Monday with theft of a motor vehicle, assault, theft by unlawful taking and the possession of an instrument of crime.

Other details surrounding the incidents have not been released.
