Edwards Wins At Richmond; Kahne And Truex Get Final Chase Berths

While Carl Edwards won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Federated Auto Parts 400 race at Richmond International Speedway on Saturday night, Kasey Kahne and Martin Truex, Jr. captured the final two berths (#’s 11 & 12) in the Chase for the Cup.

Defending series champion Brad Keselowski and fan favorite Jeff Gordon did not qualify.

Edwards finished Saturday’s event ahead of Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman.  The Chase begins with the Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway next Sunday.  Airtime for the event on ESPN Radio 1120 will be 1:00 PM.

Jimmie Johnson, who had been leading the Sprint Cup points standings, did not race Saturday due to the birth of a child, and goes into the Chase three points behind Matt Kenseth.
