The State Police say a young Franklin-area man was seriously injured and will face charges after a police pursuit that ended with the stolen pickup the man was driving striking a building at Franklin’s busiest intersection.

Today troopers identified the driver of the truck as 18 year-old Colin Agin. Police say Agin is being treated for a serious injury at an Erie hospital.

Troopers tell KQW they attempted to stop Agin at a location on Patchel Run Road shortly before 2:30 AM on Sunday morning.  A chase ensued through Sugarcreek Borough and into the city of Franklin, where the truck struck the historic Exchange Building at the corner of Liberty and 13th Streets.

The driver was flown to UPMC-Hamot.

Troopers say the pickup had been stolen from a Cooperstown residence.  Charges are pending the completion of the State Police investigation.
