A woman, who apparently encountered a medical problem, lost control of her car in Oil City’s West End on Tuesday morning, shearing off a utility pole, and forcing the temporary closing of three blocks of city streets.
The vehicle ended up on its left side, and the driver had to be extricated through the roof.
The driver, whose identity was not immediately released, was later treated at UPMC Northwest in Cranberry.
Power was disrupted in the West First Street neighborhood after the accident near the intersection with Wyllis Street. No other vehicles were involved.
