Driver Freed From Vehicle After Crash With Utility Pole And Fire Hydrant

A driver in an early morning crash in Franklin needed to be freed from his vehicle which police say was covered with downed power lines and leaking engine fluids.

The incident occurred at about 2:00 AM Saturday on Grant Street near Coefield Corners in Franklin.

Franklin City Police say a vehicle driven by James Gilhousen, Jr. left the street, sheared off a utility pole, slammed through a fire hydrant, and came to rest on its side in a gas station parking lot.

There was no report on any injuries.  No other vehicles were involved.
