Djokovic Takes Second Wimbledon Title; Kvitova Wins Women’s Singles Title

Novak Djokovic captured the men’s singles title at Wimbledon on Sunday, defeating seven-time winner Roger Federer 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-4 victory.

The win marked seven Grand Slam titles for Djokovic, who had been beaten in the finals of his last three Majors and in five of the last six.

On Saturday, sixth-seeded Petra Kvitova, of the Czech Republic, defeated Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, the 13-seed, 6-3, 6-0 in a women’s singles contest that lasted only 55 minutes.
