PennDOT says a 61 year-old bridge in Wayne Township in southeastern Crawford County will be replaced in a nearly three-month project which begins Monday (Aug. 19).
The current 49-foot bridge takes Deckards Road over Deckards Run. It is located about a quarter-mile east of the intersection with Route 173, and three-quarters of a mile west of the intersection with Drake Hill Road. Work will also include improvements in drainage, guardrails, signage and pavement markings.
The official PennDOT detour will include Route 173, Franklin Pike (Route 2010) and Stockton Corners Road (Route 2016).
The road is expected to re-open in early November.
