Police and emergency officials, other first-responders, U.S. Army Reserves, and medical and school officials will take part in Crawford County on Wednesday (Aug. 14) in a drill testing the ability of the agencies to respond to a specific emergency incident.

At an elementary school in the Meadville area, officials will simulate a response to a call about a gunman on a school campus.

The event will begin at 9:00 AM, and a portion of Williamson Road in West Mead Township will be closed during the drill.

Police respondents will range from officers on the city and borough levels to county sheriff’s department officials to the Pennsylvania State Police.
