A Crawford County man who had been the subject of a manhunt last month was apprehended Monday afternoon in Ohio.
U.S. Marshals and officials from the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department arrested 34 year-old Jason Csorba, who is from the Linesville area, near a supermarket at a Pierpont, Ohio intersection shortly after the Crawford County Sheriif’s office received and relayed a tip they had received about Csorba’s whereabouts.
Crawford County officials say the arresting officers had to chase Csorba on foot for a short distance, and eventually stopped the suspect by using a Taser weapon. Csorba awaits extradition in the Ashtabula County Jail.
Csorba had been charged in July with assault, making terroristic threats and a weapons violation after he allegedly threatened to shoot a neighbor couple and their pets during a property boundary dispute. He became the subject of a search when he failed to appear in court, and police officials believed him to be armed and dangerous.
The initial search centered around Linesville, and then areas near the Crawford-Erie County line, including the community of Springboro.
