Monday, the first day of the first full week of the new year, numerous recently-elected county and city officials were sworn into their terms of office around the Oil Region.
In Venango County, that included the swearings-in of several county officials, in addition to City Council members in both Oil City and Franklin.
Venango County’s judges gave the oaths of office to new District Attorney Shawn White and to re-elected Sheriff Eric Foy. Also being sworn in at the Venango County Courthouse were District Magisterial Judge Andrew Fish, Coroner Christina Rugh and register-recorder Sue Hannon.
Newly-elected Oil City Councilmen Isaiah Dunham and Michael Poff took their oaths at Oil City Hall. In Franklin, Mayor Doug Baker and council members Donna Fletcher, Sam Lyons and Garnet Wood, all incumbents, were once again sworn into office. New council member Jennifer Horne was not present, and will be sworn in at a later date.
