A Cooperstown man has been sentenced to seven months to two years in county jail in an incident in which he fired a weapon at a woman during a domestic dispute at their home last October.
38 year-old Joseph Hoover had entered guilty pleas in November to charges of reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats. His sentences on the pleas handed down in Venango County Court will run concurrently.
Police say the incident occurred in the kitchen of Hoover’s home.
Hoover will serve his sentence in the county jail in Crawford County where he works, and he will be eligible for work release.
