A Cooksburg man has been hospitalized in Pittsburgh following a fall from a moving vehicle in the Cook Forest area.
State Police from the Marienville station say the 55 year-old victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling north on Route 36 shortly after 7:00 PM Tuesday evening. For some reason, the passenger side door was opened, and the man fell out onto the highway. Troopers estimate the vehicle was traveling at a speed of about 45 miles per hour at the time.
The man’s injuries were described as serious.
Meanwhile, police say the 43 year-old Cooksburg woman who was driving was arrested on the suspicion of D-U-I.
No identities were released in the initial police report.
