The Crawford County commissioners have decided to seek the sale of Conneaut Lake Park to settle property tax debts totaling more than $800,000.
The decision came down at the commissioners’ regular meeting on Wednesday. Although it may become necessary, the sale probably would not happen until late next year. The Park’s trustees have owed real estate taxes to the county, two townships and the Conneaut School District.
Meanwhile, Conneaut Lake Park is still preparing for its traditional opening this Friday, marking the start of the Memorial Day weekend.
