A Clarion University student has been named Atlantic Region Women’s Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Year by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners’ Association.

Hannah Heeter, from Cranberry, is a two-time Academic All-American, and won this year’s PSAC Female Pete Nevins Award as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s scholar-athlete-of-the-year.  She is the first Clarion athlete to win Academic All-American honors for two different sports.

In her fourth year on the Golden Eagles’ volleyball squad, Heeter has led her team to a 7-0 start this year.  Last winter, Heeter averaged 14.4 points and 13.3 rebounds per game for the Clarion basketball team.

In the classroom, Heeter holds a 3.96 GPA in pre-medicine and biology.
