Clarion County Officials Investigate Two Fatal Traffic Accidents

Police officials in Clarion County have been called out to investigate two fatal traffic accident within the last 48 hours.

State Police say a motorcycle operator was killed early Wednesday evening when his bike left Route 68 in Monroe Township.  67 year-old Richard Confer, from Rimersburg, died in the incident shortly before 6:30 PM Wednesday.  Investigators have given few other details.

Then, just before 10:00 PM Thursday, a Clarion man died when his S-U-V crossed Route 66 in Limestone Township, traveled through a ditch, and continued into the woods.  State Police troopers say Richard Booth, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved in either fatal incident.
