Investigators are treating a fire in a shed at a Clarion County residence on Friday as an arson.

State Police from the Clarion station say the resident of the home, 54 year-old Robert Lenhortt, was seriously burned in the incident and was rushed to a Pittsburgh hospital.

An initial investigation has revealed that gasoline was apparently poured into the shed at a residence on Whisner Road in Paint Township, and burning cardboard was then thrown into the structure.

Four fire companies responded to the blaze shortly after 3:00 PM Friday.
