One part of Governor Tom Corbett’s Healthy Pennsylvania Plan has cleared the state legislature.
The State House this week voted to concur with Senate amendments to extend the Children’ Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through 2015. Corbett wanted the waiting period for enrollment eliminated, and that is what the amendment has done.
The House vote was unanimous.
The Governor issued a statement Tuesday thanking the House for their quick action. Corbett says he plans to sign the bill as soon as it hits his desk.
