Carlton Man Found At Burned Minivan Was Shot To Death

The State Police are investigating the death of a Carlton man as a homicide.

An autopsy conducted Friday revealed that 58 year-old David Dignall died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Dignall’s body was discovered late Thursday afternoon near a burned-out minivan along Hollibaugh Road in French Creek Township in Mercer County.  There are indications that Dignall’s body was also partially burned.

Dignall was pronounced dead at the scene.  The investigation into the shooting is being led by the State Police at the Mercer station in Jackson Center.
