Police officials are now reporting that the car that hit State Senator Scott Hutchinson’s S-U-V late last week was stolen, and the driver is only 13 years old.

Hutchinson and his wife Mary Beth, who are from Oil City, were not hurt, nor was the driver of the car that hit them.

State Police say the incident occurred late Friday afternoon in the southbound lanes of Pittsburgh Road, just south of Franklin in Sandycreek Township.  The teen driver was traveling in the right lane, and drifted into the left lane, hitting the Hutchinson vehicle.

The teenage driver will be charged through Venango County Juvenile Court.  Officials did not specify where the car he was driving was stolen.
