The body of a Butler man was pulled from Slippery Rock Creek on Wednesday night after he went under water while swimming with friends near the Kennedy Mill Bridge in Slippery Rock.
Companions said 22 year-old Mazzarny Sanford disappeared under water at about 6:30 PM. His body was discovered about 90 minutes later some 500 feet downstream.
Officials say Sanford drowned in about twenty feet of water at a swimming hole along Frew Mill Road. An autopsy is scheduled.
