A Butler man is free on bail after he was arraigned on charges involving incidents at a Clarion psychiatric center in which he is accused of threatening to kill staff members, and of assaulting two of the workers.

Police officials in Clarion County say the charges against 25 year-old Raymond Johnson, Jr. include both aggravated and simple assault, strangulation, making terroristic threats and harassment.

Employees told police Johnson became agitated when he was told he was being released from the facility.  He allegedly punched a female staff member in the chest and put his hands around the neck of a male worker.  Johnson also is alleged to have turned over a table and to have begun kicking a door.
