Tuukka Rask stopped all 28 shots he faced on Monday night, leading the Boston Bruins to a 2-0 home shutout win over the Chicago Blackhawks and a 2-games-to-one lead in the NHL Stanley Cup final.
Rask earned his third shutout of this year’s playoffs, the first two having come against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference final. Daniel Paille and Patrice Bergeron both scored second-period goals for the Bruins.
Corey Crawford took the loss in the Blackhawks’ net, stopping 33 of 35 shots.
Game four of the best-of-seven championship series will be played Wednesday night in Boston.
