Adam McQuaid scored the game’s only goal with 14:59 left in the final period, and the Boston Bruins completed a four-game sweep over the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 1-0 shutout win on Friday night at TD Garden in Boston.

The Pittsburgh loss eliminated the Penguins from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Eastern Conference championship round.  Boston will go on to meet either Chicago or defending champion Los Angeles in the Stanley Cup finals.

Pittsburgh outshot Boston 26-24, but Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask stopped all 26 Penguins shots.  Tomas Vokoun was once again the hard-luck loser in the Pittsburgh net.

Pittsburgh, who led the NHL in scoring in the regular season and again through the first two rounds of the playoffs, was held to only two total goals in the four games of the conference championship series.
