Boyle, Holden, Krear To Join Conservation Hall-of-Fame

December 7, 2012

The Oil City Chapter of the Isaak Walton League of America and Venango College of Clarion University will induct the newest members of the Venango County Conservation Hall-of-Fame on December 16th at Rhoades Auditorium in Oil City.

The event will begin at 7:00 PM, and the newest members will be E. Michael Boyle, Jim Holden and Dick Krear.

Boyle has served as chairman of the board and president of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.  Holden is a leading advocate and planner for the Allegheny Valley Trails Association, and was a founding member of the Allegheny Valley Conservancy.  Krear, who will be inducted posthumously, helped form the Seneca Rocks Chapter of the National Audubon Society, served as a Deputy Waterways Conservation Officer, and often lectured on birds, especially birds of prey.

The Venango County Conservation Hall-of-Fame was formed to honor men and women with ties to Venango County for their contributions to conservation and the environment.
