Autumn Leaf Festival Begins

With an earlier start this year, Clarion County’s annual Autumn Leaf Festival is underway.

Friday’s (9/20) activities include a “corn hole” tournament, a motorcycle cruise-in and the kickoff concert with the band, “Leverage.”

Saturday’s activities will include the Pennsylvania State Old-Time Fiddlers’ Contest,” 5K and 10K races, the Cook Forest river bike ride, a motorcycle run, the annual “Touch A Truck event,” a “Power Wheels” Derby, the opening reception for the festival’s art show, and the Miss and Mr. Junior Teen and Miss and Mr. Teen Autumn Leaf Festival Scholarship Program.

On Sunday, the festival will feature a fly-in  and drive-in breakfast at the Clarion County Airport, an automobile cruise-in, a pie and bake sale, the Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk, line dancing, the Clarion Community Choir’s pops concert, and a visit to the Clarion Free Library by “Walkaround Elmo” from Sesame Street.

The Autumn Leaf Festival will run through Sunday, September 29.  The ALF parade and Clarion University’s homecoming are both scheduled for Saturday, September 28.
