Oil City Firefighters Get New 3-Year Contract

Oil City Council this week approved a new three-year contract for the city’s firefighters. The pact covers a department that currently employs twenty individuals, and reportedly includes two percent wage increases in each of its three years.  It runs through the end of 2016. Census Numbers Show Pennsylvania Population Grows; Venango County Wanes

Figures released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau show Pennsylvania’s population has grown by about six-tenths of one percent since 2010 Census data was compiled, but the population of Venango County has dropped by about two percent.
