Aston-Reese, Guentzel Both Score Twice In Pens’ 6-3 Win Over Ottawa

Rookie Zach Aston-Reese scored his first two National Hockey League goals on Tuesday night, leading the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 6-3 home victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Jake Guentzel also scored twice for the Pens, and Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang added goals.  Sidney Crosby, Justin Schultz and Brian Dumoulin each recorded two assists, and Matt Murray (20-12-2) earned his 20th victory in goal this season, stopping 30-of-33 shots.

With the win, the Penguins (32-22-4) moved to within three points of first-place Washington in the NHL’s Metropolitan Division.

Derick Brassard, Colin White and Mike Hoffman scored for Ottawa (19-27-9).

The Pens will host Los Angeles (30-21-5) on Thursday night.  Radio pregame airtime on 96.3 KQW will be 6:30 PM.
