As Many As Three Hurt When S-U-V Hits Tree Near Hannaville

November 14, 2013

A Franklin-area man was hurt, and two children in safety seats were being checked for injuries after a sport-utility vehicle slammed into a tree near Hannaville in western Venango County.

State Police say the incident occurred early Tuesday night on State Route 322 in Canal Township.

Troopers tell KQW that a westbound S-U-V driven by 42 year-old Tracy Calton left the highway and struck a guide rail before hitting the tree.

Calton, a three year-old boy and an infant boy were taken to UPMC Northwest in Cranberry.  An adult passenger, identified as 23 year-old Angel Varner, from Franklin, escaped the crash uninjured.
