An Armstrong County man was killed over the weekend when his motorcycle struck a car that had entered an intersection and traveled into the path of his bike.
State Police accident investigators say 60 year-old Robert Ruffner, from Templeton, had not been wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened Saturday at a Route 36 intersection in Farmington Township. Troopers say a car driven by 65 year-old Albino Anderson pulled from a stop sign into the path of Ruffner’s motorcycle. The bike hit the car, and Ruffner was thrown clear.
Route 36 was closed to traffic for nearly three hours.
