The Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night made University of Kansas guard Andrew Wiggins the number-one overall selection in this year’s NBA drafted, and Wiggin’s teammate, center Joel Embiid, went third to the Philadelphia 76’ers.

Cleveland had earlier won the lottery for the number-one pick for the third time in four years.

Duke forward Jabari Parker was drafted second by Milwaukee, Arizona forward Aaron Gordon went fourth to Orlando, and a guard from Australia, Dante Exum, was selected fifth by Utah.

Rounding out the top ten picks were Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart to Boston, Kentucky forward Julius Randle to the Los Angeles Lakers, Michigan guard Nik Stuskas to Sacramento, Indiana swingman Noah Vonleh to Charlotte, and Louisiana-Lafayette guard Elfrid Payton – Philadelphia’s second first-round selection.
