After Trailing By 15, Pitt Wins By 12 In ACC Debut

The Pitt Panthers (13-1) stormed back from an early 17-2 deficit and defeated North Carolina State 74-62 in the Panthers’ first-ever game in the Atlantic Coast Conference, played Saturday afternoon at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Lamar Patterson paced Pitt with 22 points, 17 of which he scored in the second half.  Talib Zanna added 15 points, and Michael Young scored 13.

The ACC’s top scorer, N.C. State’s T.J. Warren, led all players with 23 points.  The Wolfpack fell to 10-4.

Pitt will host Maryland on Monday night.
