A Busy Friday Planned At The Venango County Fair

It is the penultimate day at the 2017 Venango County Fair (Aug. 11).

It’s “Make It at the Fair” Day, and magic shows will be featured throughout the day.

Morning activities include the open pleasure horse show and the Senior 4-H livestock showmanship contest, both beginning at 9:00 AM.

In the afternoon, it’s the supreme livestock contest and a scavenger hunt, both at 1:00 PM, a children’s pedal tractor pull at 3:30 PM and a milking contest at 5:00 PM.

The Franklin Silver Cornet Band will perform at 5:30 PM.  At that same time, the 4-H clubs’ “Eggcellent Adventure” will begin.

A flag ceremony at 6:45 PM will precede a demolition derby at 7:00 PM.  And, the band “Joyride” will entertain at 9:00 PM.

The Venango County Fair at the 4-H Fairgrounds on Route 62 between Franklin and Polk concludes Saturday.
