Lottery officials say there was one ticket sold for Saturday night’s Powerball Lottery drawing which contained all five numbers drawn Saturday PLUS the “Powerball” number.
The ticket has an annuity value of about $338.3-million, and was sold somewhere in New Jersey. If the ticket-holder requests a lump-sum payment, the ticket would be worth about $221-million. The jackpot was the fourth-largest in Powerball Lottery history.
The annuity value for the jackpot for the next Powerball drawing, scheduled for Wednesday, has been reset at $40-million.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials say two tickets sold in this state contained the first five numbers drawn, but not the “Powerball” number. Those tickets are both worth $1-million. One ticket sold in Pennsylvania contained 4 of 5 numbers, plus the “Powerball” number, and was purchased with the extra one-dollar Powerplay option. That ticket is worth $40,000.
