Released by the National Football League on Wednesday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2014 regular season schedule shows the Steelers opening with back-to-back divisional contests and leaving the eastern time zone only once.
Pittsburgh will play two Monday Night Football games, a pair of Sunday night contests and one Thursday night game. The Steelers-Cleveland Browns rivalry will occur twice within the first six weeks of the season, and Pittsburgh’s “bye” week will come on weekend number-12 – the weekend before Thanksgiving.
The Steelers will open the season on Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 PM with a home game against Cleveland, and will then play at Baltimore on Thursday night, September 11.
Other home games will see the Steelers hosting Tampa Bay, Houston, Indianapolis, Baltimore, New Orleans, Kansas City and Cincinnati. In addition to Baltimore, they will travel to Carolina, Jacksonville, Cleveland, New York (Jets), Tennessee, Cincinnati and Atlanta. The game in Tennessee on Monday, November 17 at 8:30 PM will be the only Steelers contest played outside the eastern time zone.
